Dotting the i ... on 9 and 10 Octboer 2025
Benefiting even more from own experience and wisdom in conversations
No matter how much experience you have - whether you are a director or a (process) supervisor - you never stop learning when it comes to having good, sometimes difficult conversations. Even if you have read all the books on the subject, it is still a matter of measuring and measuring in practice. No two people are the same and dealing with that fact is not done overnight. Especially because you yourself as an instrument in those conversations sometimes fall silent, sometimes become vulnerable, or just don't get on. Together with you, in this master class, we want to discover more deeply what this complexity means for your role as director or (process) supervisor. This Masterclass will be less about the skills: we assume those. It will mainly be about the art of leading and letting go in conversations, speaking with wisdom, increasing your own sensitivity while practising complex conversations. A unique combination of senior expertise from Gerda Nobel and Allard de Hoop will make you (re)examine some of the trickiest facets of conducting complex conversations. You will learn really hard-to-see or unconscious dotting the i's as an experienced discussion leader. This concerns both the context of the conversations or the outside (what is expected and what are the questions of the other person with whom you are having the conversation) and your personal inside (what resonates, what comes along - unconsciously - in the process of speaking). Transference, countertransference, projection, double loop learning, liminality in development processes, distance - proximity, intuition, etc. are all facets that we know regularly play a role. In addition, it is about perspectives. How do others and you look at a situation, how aware are both parties of this and what influence does this have on your own behaviour or that of the other? This Masterclass is mainly about your own practice; theory only plays a modest role insofar as it can clarify processes.Target group Managers and (process) supervisors with extensive practical experience
